I call it, "I'm bored".
Some figure doodles that I whipped up while on vacation this past week. The tai chi pose I found on Google, the rest were from an app called "Random Pose" made by Posemaniacs. [link]
Posemaniacs I've found to be a good reference, but Random Pose isn't nearly as good as the actual site. Oh well, it was still fun.
Tai chi person's arm looks too long. And I'm sure there's a lot of things wrong with the others, too. I really should've measured. But no. They're just dooooooodles.

But it looks like you are missing the gesture itself. You need to find the line of action, which is to pinpoint the action of the individual itself. Then you can add the structure afterwards.
