Personality
Michi has a warm and friendly personality when given the chance to show it. Though he's not as outgoing or talkative as his sister, Izayoi, he forms very close bonds with his friends and family and is very loyal to them. He tends to be rather laid back, a bit more of a follower than a leader, and will go along with whatever his friends are doing unless something happens that insults or embarrasses him. This leads him into a lot of mischievous situations with MirSan's son, Moku, who is about a year and a half older than Michi and tends to be the planmaker between the two. Though they do tend to get into trouble, neither of them mean any harm by their "adventures"; they're just little boys being little boys.

Michi admires and looks up to his father, Inuyasha. He's fascinated by the stories he tells and often asks to hear them (later passing his own wilder version on to his siblings), and it's his father that first got him interested in learning swordsmanship, something that he focused a fair part of his life on when he got older. He's also awed by the hanyou's demonic strength, as Michi himself doesn't possess enough youki to preform the stunts that his father can. He's attempted to imitate some of his father's abilities without much success several times, which has lead to having a minor sort of inferiority complex. He sometimes gets rather shy about his abilities, and when he does do something that impresses others, he doesn't always like to take much credit for it because, the way he sees it, "dad can do way cooler stuff." That reasoning fades as he gets older, but even as an adult, he tends to take a more "humble" approach to his abilities.

Despite his mostly human appearance, the pointed animal ears at the top of Michi's head are an unmistakeable giveaway to his demon heritage. Most of Kaede's village accepts him and his family for what they are, but there's still that handful who disapprove of a hanyou and his offspring living in the village (as well as travelers passing through) who give him a rough time about his genes. Though he is somewhat proud of having a daiyoukai for a grandfather, he tends to keep that feeling to himself because many humans don't share that opinion. Their teasing can cause Michi to retreat back into his shell a bit, sticking closer to those with whom he is familiar with. Despite having a naturally friendly personality, this treatment has given him a bit of an increased shyness towards strangers. Being a bit of a pacifist, Michi dislikes fights (siblings and/or bullies being the occasional exceptions) and therefore tries to stay away from possible confrontations. Usually, a newcomer has to approach him in a non-hostile way before Michi can show his warmer, more open side. His pacifistic side is challenged when he recieves an open insult about his family, heritage, or friends in which case he can get very defensive and snappy, defending his family with a ferocious loyalty (in the most extreme of cases, he has been known to resort to biting), or when he becomes embarrassed by something, in which case he tries to cover it up with mild stubbornness and aggravations. This can make him seem very hard-headed at times.

Michi has an intuitive mind and can sense other people's emotions with relative accuracy. He is empathetic towards those in a 'lesser' position, and sometimes his that empathy takes over. He has a minor hero complex and can often be found defending bullying victims. It's one of the few times he's willing to get into a fight (though he rarely fights back when he's the one being picked on). He has been known to cry for reasons other than a child's typical injuries; he tries to hold it in, but isn't very good at it. Izzy often calls him a "wimp" for this.

Michi is extremely protective of his youngest sister, Moriko. Moriko was the first dog-eared child since Izzy, and Michi, having felt the prejudice that people give him over his own, doesn't want it to happen to his dear baby sister. He glares back at strangers who stare at her funny and if and when he picks a fight, it's probably over Moriko. He does get rather over-sensitive about it, however, and may overreact to factors that would otherwise be non-issue.

When Michi is stressed or upset, he seeks seclusion. One of his favorite spots to sulk is in the branches of the trees near his home. Michi is a very skilled tree climber; not only does he retreat to the tall branches when he needs to cool down, but also frequently uses them in play. His most daring moments include trying to reach the next branch in a very tall tree. Unfortunately, coming down is harder, and though he can manage getting down from moderate heights, he's had to be rescued from the top by Inuyasha or Kirara several times.

Wardrobe
Default: Green shirt with a pattern of four diamonds. Dark blue hakama-like pants with slightly lighter blue obi and undershirt.
Alternate: A buttoned shirt with dark green hakama-like pants.
Pajamas: Blue sweatshirt and navy sweatpants. Pants have a dog-bone pattern. Alternatively, a green sweatshirt with red-and-green striped pants.
Modern: Pale green shirt with darker collar and sleeves. Jeans roll up at the bottom. Gray sneakers. Green baseball cap hides his ears.
Hoodies: One is pretty much the hoodie version of his modern shirt. The other is based on Totoro.
Summer: A simple green outfit with darker pants that fall just past the knee. Thin obi ties to the side. Alternatively, a blue-and-white outfit with a pale yellow obi.

Stuff He Owns
Bokken and Knife: These are two wood weapons that Michi has possessed from a very young age; the knife since around 3 and the bokken (wooden practice sword) since 5. These are what he uses to "train" and practice with. Though they are not actually effective weapons (it would still hurt if you got whacked with one, but they don't cut), Michi has many imaginary attacks that he likes to pretend that they produce. His father's Kaze no Kizu is one of them.

Hitogaken: Young Michi named this sword himself by mashing up the words "hito" (human), "kiba" (fang), and "ken" (sword). So...human fang sword. It looks similar to a smaller version of Tessaiga. When Michi began loosing teeth, Inuyasha was reminded of Tessaiga and how it was forged from his father's fang. He began to wonder if Michi might ever need a sword like Tessaiga for protection. The idea of passing down Tessaiga itself was out-of-the-question, as Michi lacked the amount of youki necessary to transform said sword, so instead, Inuyasha sought out Toutousai. He eventually convinced the swordsmith to take the commission to make a specialized demon-sword for Michi that could react with his small amount of youki. Toutousai explained that perhaps he could form a sword of some sort out of Michi's teeth as Tessaiga had been made out of the Inu no Taisho's fang, but of course, it would have to be combined with another material as Michi's teeth were nowhere near the size of the Taisho's massive fangs. Michi's baby teeth were (discreetly) collected as they fell out naturally and incorporated in with a meld of metals--mostly humans substances found in normal Samurai swords, but also with a small percentage of demonic metal.

Michi received the Hitogaken at the age of 12. It became one of his most treasured possessions. It is much stronger than regular human sword and is effective against most of weaker youkai or oni. The sword is extremely sensitive to youki; it has to be in order for Michi to be able to transform it. Because of this, he never lets full youkai touch the handle while the sword is unsheathed--the momentous flow of youki would shatter the sword if they did. Even Inuyasha has to make sure it is sheathed before handling it. The only exception to this is, of course, Toutousai, who made the sword.

Rosary Another item of Michi's that looks similar to Inuyasha's, but that preforms a very different function. Rather than subduing Michi, the rosary subdues the excess youki around him--mainly for his safety in handling the sensitive Hitogaken. It prevents Hitogaken from interacting with the youki in the air around it when unsheathed. The sheath itself preforms the same function while the sword is not being wielded. Michi's rosary includes only 13 beads; 11 round and 2 hook-shaped. The round ones get smaller in size as they proceed away from the center.

Adult
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 148 lbs
Occupation: Children's martial arts/swordsmanship instructor

Wife: Yukimi
Children: Hana (f), Keitaro (m), and Chiyou (f)

As Michi aged, he continued to train in the ways of swordsmanship with his father. In his later teen years he began to branch out into other forms of martial arts, seeking any teacher willing to take a 25%-youkai teenager as a pupil, and began traveling a bit further from home in his quest to improve his skills. At around the age of 25-30, he was deemed qualified to teach others and made a small profit teaching some of the younger children in his home village basic sword forms and martial art techniques, though he still took trips away for his own training, much like Shippo at the end of the series. His skills and reputation grew, and after several years of teaching the local village children, others began to seek him out as a master.

At age 24, Michi married Kouga's daughter, Yukimi. Yuki had a crush on Michi when they were children, but though he did consider her a close friend, the "romantic" feelings (more like puppy love at this age) were never fully returned by the young boy. They went several years without seeing each other in late adolescence and early adulthood. It wasn't until Michi was traveling one winter and got caught in a dangerous snowstorm on a mountain trail that they met again. Yuki found him struggling on the path and, after realizing who he was, escorted him to a safe cave where they waited out the storm. They spent a lot of time catching up and were able to talk and hang out more frequently after that--Yuki even went with him for the rest of the journey. Somewhere in the midst of that, the rekindled their old friendship and, in turn, fell in love (mutually this time). Their first daughter, Hana, was born a year later, ulimately followed by a son, Keitaro, and another daughter, Chiyou.

Chiyou looks like a little female version of Michi (albeit with her mother's teal eyes and a tail) and Kagome absolutely adores and dotes on her to no end (Kagome loves all her grandchildren equally, but Chiyou reminds her so much of a young Michi that she simply can't help herself).

Other
-Michi does NOT have claws or fangs.
-He also does NOT have significant demonic powers outside of what Hitogaken can preform. His youki is rather limited.
-His eyes are meant to be the same color as Inuyasha's on the night of the new moon.
-He's secretly afraid of the dark and gets very paranoid about unknown noises in the night.
-He's actual quite an impressive tree climber.

I really like this, in particular, the part about the Hitogaken. It's more realistic than other versions of their children. Of course he wouldn't have a large amount of youki, not only is he a child, but he's a only a quarter youkai as well.
All in all, I think it was very well thought out and detailed, which I particularly like to see in an OC.
